Municipal Mayor, Engr. Helen C. Alaba, together with Municipal Vice-Mayor, Pablio Sumampong and SB Members, joined by the Municipal Head of Offices and School Trainers officially received the 30 brand new computer sets donated by the town Patron, Mr. Carlos Chan last October 20, 2016 at 3:00 in the afternoon. The Loboc Learning Center for Excellence, is the newly constructed school at Barangay Gotozon, Loboc also came from the donation of Mr. Carlos Chan intended as a technical-vocational school to support the students of Loboc and nearby municipalities. The computer sets were blessed by Rev. Fr. Al John Meñosa, and it was followed by an official turnover ceremony witnessed by the Executive and Legislative Body, Municipal Officials, Head of Offices, former mayor and Consultant on Economic Development, Mr. Leon Calipusan, School Trainers spearheaded by their designated School Admin, Ms. Mary Cris Tamayo Arbuyes as well as the invited Grade 11 students of Camaya-an National Highschool escorted by their teachers. The remarkable event was represented by the son of the town patron, Mr. Carlson Chan, and was then given a warm welcome program at the Children’s Theater/Palace after the event, together with his friends, Chinese business associates numbering to twenty-two (22) pax. The honored guests were offered a heart pounding performance from the Loboc Youth Ambassador’s Band (LYAB) under the baton of Mr. Rene Balbin, and was entertained by the angelic voices of the Loboc Children’s Choir (LCC) conducted consecutively by Mr. Noel Care Cañeda and Mrs. Alma Taldo, LCC Musical Director. After the heart-warming concert of the two (2) local and international performers of the town, Mr. Carlson Chan and the Chinese guests were invited for a river cruise dinner at the magnificent Loboc River. On several occasions the Loboc Patron and Supporter, Mr. Carlos Chan initiated and arranged several dignitaries from various countries and economies in the world to visit Loboc. The generous patron has not only brought visitors which gave an avenue for potential investors, but has also donated several developments for the town. The people of Loboc are profusely grateful to him as their adopted father. He did not only donate the modern Children’s Theater, Riverbank Lighting of the Loboc River, several schools including the Loboc Learning Center for Excellence, Fire truck, and many more. Just like a true father to his children, Mr. Chan supported the humble town of Loboc all the way. The humble town Mayor Alaba, quoted during her speech addressing to the generous patron, “We are looking forward to continue building the bonds of friendship and goodness with you through cooperation and mutual respect. What we can only pay back is our pure hearts saying..., we wish you good health, long life, and may God continue to bless you the greatest blessings in your life, so you can continue to be a blessing to others. We shall always be honored to host and welcome all of your guests.”
